We are looking for a Business Development Representative, Structured Finance join our Customer Value Solutions & Engagement team working within one of the Constructions Industries newly formed divisions, Customer Solutions Growth Regions.
About Customer Solutions Growth Regions Division
This team, alongside dealers, engages closely with customers to create, customize and adapt solutions to meet their needs by leveraging the extensive range of offerings available today across products and services, digital and technology, rental and used, and financing.
The division is regionally focused on Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, Asia (excluding Japan), and Latin America (LATAM) and organized into three functional areas: Customer Facing, Customer Solutions and Business Enablers.
This role is part of the Customer Value Solutions & Engagement team, focused on:
- Designing solutions that address key customer pain points associated with equipment acquisition and ownership.
- Leveraging machine telematics and data to drive repairs by the dealer and improve customer uptime.
- Proactively communicating and training internal and external stakeholders on the value of the solutions we provide.
About the Role
As a Business Development Representative, Structured Finance, you will support the delivery of retail financing solutions for customers and inventory financing options for dealers.
Working closely with dealers, customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders, you will identify, propose, and implement tools, products, and strategies that strengthen customer and dealer cashflow capabilities. Responsibilities include developing customized solutions for emerging and growth markets and supporting the onboarding and execution of new cashflow initiatives that facilitate business growth.
This is a highly customer-facing and commercially focused role requiring regular interaction with customers, dealers, and internal business partners. Success in this position depends on understanding customer needs, identifying business opportunities, and helping implement financing solutions that support customer success and business growth.
The role sits within the Customer Solutions team, which focuses on creating, customizing, and adapting solutions for customers by leveraging Caterpillar's broad range of products, services, technology, rental, used equipment, and financing offerings. The team works closely with dealers and customers across Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, Asia excluding Japan, and Latin America.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
- Partner with dealers, customers, and internal commercial teams to identify financing needs and support the development and implementation of financing solutions that support equipment sales and market growth.
- Develop differentiated financing solutions and financing programs for customers and dealers in growth markets.
- Assess customer needs, dealer requirements, market dynamics, and business opportunities to recommend appropriate retail financing products, tools, and services.
- Build strong relationships with dealers and customers to support financing solutions, cashflow initiatives, and business growth opportunities.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and dealers, helping translate business challenges into practical financing solutions.
- Support field teams and dealers with financial expertise and commercial insight to enable customer success.
- Monitor the performance and effectiveness of retail financing and dealer inventory financing programs, recommending improvements where needed.
- Lead or support the onboarding, implementation, and execution of new customer and dealer cashflow initiatives.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to internal teams and external partners during the rollout of new financing solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with commercial, finance, dealer, legal, compliance, and regional teams to ensure solutions are practical, compliant, and commercially viable.
- Ensure alignment with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
What You Will Have
We are looking for candidates who combine commercial acumen, financial expertise, and strong relationship-building skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in structured finance, dealer finance, retail finance, asset finance, trade finance, banking, equipment financing, commercial finance, corporate finance, treasury, or business development.
- Experience working directly with customers, dealers, distributors, financial institutions, or commercial teams.
- Strong ability to develop customized financing solutions or business solutions that support customer acquisition, retention, and growth.
- A strong business development mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, influence stakeholders, and translate customer needs into actionable solutions.
- Knowledge of retail financing, dealer inventory financing, treasury services, treasury management, working capital solutions, or related financial products.
- Experience supporting the onboarding, implementation, or execution of financing products, programs, or cashflow initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and collaborate across commercial, finance, dealer, and regional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess financial information, customer needs, and market opportunities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Ability to influence without formal authority and build trusted relationships with customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
- Fluent English required; additional language capabilities may be beneficial depending on the region and customer portfolio supported by the role.

- Experience in automotive finance, equipment finance, heavy equipment, construction, mining, transportation, leasing, or dealer finance.
- Experience working with dealer networks, distributors, financial institutions, banks, or captive finance organizations.
- Experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, structured finance, asset finance, trade finance, or vendor finance.
- Experience developing customer financing proposals, business cases, or differentiated financing solutions.
- Experience supporting business growth in emerging markets or multi-country environments.
- Project leadership experience.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability.
