Our schemes bring the next generation of makers, innovators and world builders to Team Caterpillar. Many of our successful leaders and technical specialists initially joined Caterpillar through these programs. We aim to provide you with exposure across different business units and departments over the course of your chosen scheme.

During this opportunity, you will get to collaborate with the best minds in the industry, building a professional network all while developing new skills through hands-on experience.

These are typically 2-year programs that offer real world practical experience, often with rotations across different departments or functions. Programs include formal training modules and mentorship opportunities to support development.

When you begin our 12-month scheme, you'll embark on a journey that'll see you shouldering real responsibility, developing new skills, and building experience that's simply invaluable. We'll be there for you every step of the way, helping you make the most of your time with us. Impress us with your potential, and we may be seeing a lot more of you. Outstanding students could receive conditional offers of employment at the end of their placements.

These are shorter-term placements (typically 12 weeks) that allow students to gain experience in a specific area of a company.

Our apprenticeships are great opportunities for those looking to alternatives to full-time studies.

The job market can be extremely competitive and sometimes you can be caught in the vicious cycle of needing experience for a job, but unable to get the necessary experience in the first place. Our apprenticeship schemes aim to break this cycle by giving hands-on experience, combined with a qualification that is recognized nationally and a very competitive salary with benefits.

Apprenticeship levels we typically offer include: Level 2, Advanced Level 3 which is equivalent to A Level, Higher Level 4 & 5 which is equivalent to HNC, HND or Foundation year and Degree Level 6 which is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.
