Job Summary:

Serves as a strategic legal advisor to the business by providing expert counsel on a broad range of legal matters that support corporate objectives and minimize risk, with special focus on Commercial, Corporate and Real Estate. This role partners closely with management and cross-functional stakeholders to interpret complex legal issues, develop practical recommendations, draft and review legal documents, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal standards. The Senior Corporate Counsel also contributes to risk management, decision-making, and problem-solving initiatives while supporting the legal function with sound analysis, clear communication, and effective prioritization across multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise management and business stakeholders on a broad range of legal matters, with special focus on Commercial, Corporate and Real Estate, providing practical, business-oriented guidance and clear recommendations.
  • Provide legal support to one or more business divisions or practice areas in collaboration with internal legal teams and external counsel, as needed.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret complex legal and regulatory issues affecting business operations, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and revise a variety of legal documents, including commercial agreements, corporate documents, legal recommendations, as well as legal related policies, and other documents, in alignment with legal strategy and business objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and help mitigate legal, regulatory, and operational risks through proactive legal guidance and effective issue management.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic initiatives, operational matters, and decision-making processes from a legal perspective.
  • Assist in managing disputes, claims, investigations, or other sensitive legal matters, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and external advisors when appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of legal processes, templates, and policies to enhance consistency, efficiency, and governance.
  • Deliver clear and effective communication on legal concepts and risks to a range of audiences, including non-legal stakeholders.

Educational Requirements and Expertise:

  • Qualified lawyer licensed to practice law in Mexico.
  • Expert of legal advisory
  • Advanced English, written and spoken.
  • Expert working on commercial, corporate and real estate legal matters in high reputation law firm(s) or company’s legal department(s).
  • Proficiency in the use of IT tools and artificial intelligence (including MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Copilot

  • Works with common legal documents and transactions.

  • Previous Expertise managing a multinational law firm or company.
  • Professional expertise and/or legal studies in the USA or abroad.

Additional Info:

  • Location: Santa Catarina (metropolitan área of Monterrey), Nuevo Leon.
  • This position is five-day a week in-office model.
  • This position will require travelling up to 10% working time (Domestic and International).
  • Valid Travel Visa and Passport
