Role Definition

We are seeking a SG16 Team Leader – Electrical Maintenance is responsible for leading a team of electrical maintenance technicians to ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems. The role requires strong technical knowledge, adherence to safety standards, and proactive maintenance practices and reporting for rotational first and second shift.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and supervise electrical maintenance team for daily activities and shift operations.

· Plan, schedule, and ensure execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

· Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.

· Ensure high availability and reliability of electrical systems including motors, transformers, switchgear, breakers, and control panels.

· Ensure strict compliance with EHS standards, electrical safety regulations, and company policies.

· Coordinate with production, mechanical, and other cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.

· Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of electrical equipment.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best maintenance practices.

· Maintain documentation, reports, and KPIs related to maintenance activities.

· Develop team capability through training, mentoring, and performance management.

Qualifications

· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

· Relevant electrical certification or license as per regulations.

Experience

· 6–10 years of experience in electrical maintenance in industrial/manufacturing environments.

· Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.

· Hands-on experience with electrical problems trouble shooting, PLCs, and automation systems preferred.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

· Good knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, and schematics.

· Strong understanding of safety standards and risk assessment.

· Planning, coordination, and communication skills.

· Ability to manage shifts and emergency breakdown situations.

· Equipment uptime and reliability improvement.

· Preventive maintenance compliance and schedule adherence.

· Reduction in repeat failures and breakdowns.

· Team productivity and skill development.

· Safety compliance and zero incident performance.
