We are hiring a "Supplier Development Engineer" with strong Supplier Development expertise to support fabrication and metal suppliers in Ban Khai, Rayong.
This role is responsible for driving supplier quality performance through audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to ensure supplier compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This position requires up to 70% local travel to supplier sites and flexibility in working hours to support business needs. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and supplier audits within manufacturing environments. This role offers strong exposure to supplier development and continuous learning within a leading industrial hub.
Key Responsibilities
▸ Lead Supplier Quality Management (SQM) activities across fabrication and metal component suppliers
▸ Perform supplier audits, process validation, and qualification aligned with ISO9001 / IATF16949
▸ Drive Supplier Development programs to improve capability, yield, and process stability
▸ Conduct APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan reviews for new and existing suppliers
▸ Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (8D, CAPA) for supplier issues
▸ Monitor supplier performance metrics (PPM, scrap, OTD) and implement improvement plans
▸ Partner with procurement for supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management
▸ Support development of quality assurance strategies and control plans
▸ Investigate internal/external non-conformance trends and implement corrective actions
▸ Conduct frequent on-site supplier visits (up to 70% travel) within Rayong and nearby industrial zones
▸ Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex manufacturing and quality challenges
▸ Demonstrate flexibility to work variable hours to support supplier operations and urgent quality issues
Required Skills
▸ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
▸3–8+ years in Supplier Development Engineering OR Procurement Quality, OR Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE)
▸Strong expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA // Root Cause Analysis (8D, DMAIC, 5 Why) // Supplier audits & QMS (ISO/IATF)
▸Solid knowledge of fabrication processes and metal manufacturing (e.g., welding, machining, forming, casting)
▸Willingness to travel ~70% locally to supplier sites

▸Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
▸Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, risk taker, and variable work schedules
Preferred Skills
▸Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial manufacturing sectors
▸Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification
▸Proven experience in supplier development programs and cost/quality optimization
▸Exposure to global supply chains or multinational environments
▸Familiarity with Industry 4.0, automation, or digital quality systems
▸Proficiency in English; Thai language preferred
▸Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
▸Open to taking calculated risks and driving change
▸Strong ownership mindset and resilience
On-Site Full Time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 am. – 04:30 pm.
