The Caterpillar Supply Planning & Purchasing Division (SPPD) Digital Supply Resiliency team is seeking a Senior Digital Product Owner to own and evolve critical digital tools supporting supply risk management and operational prioritization, including the Enterprise Control Tower (ECT).
This role brings clarity, consistency, and accountability to how supply risks are identified, prioritized, and resolved across the enterprise. As the single product owner, you will translate complex supply challenges into clear priorities, surface true root‑cause issues, and drive product decisions that directly strengthen Caterpillar’s ability to respond to supplier risk.
What you will do:
Own and manage the Enterprise Control Tower (ECT) and related digital supply resiliency tools, serving as the single point of accountability for product direction and prioritization
Lead day‑to‑day product execution, including backlog management, issue prioritization, enhancements, and new feature delivery
Partner closely with IT, third‑party vendors, and internal analysts developing solutions in Power BI and related platforms
Drive supply risk management workflows, helping the business identify supplier health issues and systematically allocate parts to the highest operational need
Translate ambiguous supply challenges into clear, actionable product priorities, separating symptoms from root‑cause problems
Coordinate with process owners and vertical partners to align product outcomes with enterprise supply objectives
Ensure product support requests are triaged and resolved in alignment with defined SLA processes
Report on product progress, adoption, and value realization to stakeholders and leadership
Lead change management efforts, ensuring users understand upcoming changes, timing, and business impact
Manage software change requests, including scope definition, impact assessment, risk, and acceptance criteria
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities to ensure solutions meet real business needs
What skills you have:
Business Analysis: Ability to identify business needs, define problems, and recommend solutions that deliver measurable value Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Strong judgment to evaluate competing priorities, assess trade‑offs, and focus teams on the highest‑impact work
Software Product Business Knowledge: Experience managing the operational and business aspects of enterprise software products, including usage, roadmap, and future vision
Software Change Request Management: Proven ability to manage, prioritize, and communicate software change requests across stakeholders
Effective Communications: Ability to clearly communicate with technical teams, business partners, vendors, and leadership
Top candidates will also have:
Background in both software/IT and supply chain or operations
Experience supporting supply chain, planning, control tower, or risk management platforms
Hands‑on experience working with Power BI or analytics‑driven digital tools
Familiarity with Agile product delivery, sprint‑based execution, and backlog management
Experience using Azure DevOps for tracking work, prioritization, and delivery
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; supply chain certifications are a plus
Additional information:
This role can be based in Mossville, IL or Irving, TX and requires on-site work five days a week.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $183,140.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
