Role Definition
Manages the day-to-day operations of all shifts of a large facility or multiple manufacturing facilities. Ensures the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forges a safe and sound manufacturing environment.

Role demand extensive planning and scheduling of CNC, robot’s and cobots work centres

  • Manage and optimize CNC machines, robotic and cobot welding operations to ensure high productivity, consistent quality, and adherence to production targets.
  • Coordinate human–Machine collaboration, ensuring safety compliance, operator training, and efficient task allocation on the shop floor.
  • Monitor performance metrics (Safety, Quality, Cycle time, OEE, people upskilling) and drive continuous improvement through automation and data-driven decisions.

Safety:

  • Defined vs actual process for safe working of the plant and take appropriate controls to adhere to the defined SOP.
  • Drive adherence to PPE’s and standard working procedures
  • Relentlessly work on eliminating non-standard work in the process.

Quality management and control

  • Ensure built-in quality by defining robust process standards, controls, and preventive quality measures to achieve right-first-time production.
  • Monitor quality performance through KPIs, lead root cause analysis for defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by strengthening stop capability and process capability, employee quality ownership, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Velocity

  • Plan and execute production activities to consistently meet output targets by optimizing resources, line balancing, and process efficiency.
  • Monitor daily production performance against plan, identify gaps, and drive timely corrective actions to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, flow (material and information & process), reduce downtime, and ensure optimal utilization of manpower and equipment.

Cost

  • Improve utilisation of manpower to meet the planned / targeted level of labour efficiency
  • Reduce variable burden of the plant by prudent measures on consumables and work towards meeting the should cost

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
