Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer assists and supports technical services within manufacturing operations by performing detailed technical analysis of manufacturing processes, systems, CNC machines, and NC programming. This role evaluates production capabilities, equipment performance, and process efficiency to support sound engineering decision‑making. By translating technical analysis into practical, data‑driven recommendations, the Manufacturing Engineer helps enable effective, timely implementation of manufacturing solutions. The position works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance. This role is hands‑on, plant‑floor focused, and critical to sustaining stable, efficient manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations across machining by providing engineering guidance and technical problem resolution
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement process and equipment improvements to enhance safety, quality, cost, and throughput
  • Monitor equipment and process reliability; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for chronic issues
  • Analyze and execute engineering change notices (ECNs), ensuring timely and accurate implementation
  • Support planning, development, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes
  • Apply Lean manufacturing tools to reduce waste and improve flow, standard work, and overall efficiency
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Education requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing concepts, machining processes, and production systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with cast iron machining, including tooling selection, fixturing, and work holding.
  • Equivalent manufacturing engineering experience will be considered.
  • Advanced English proficiency for cross‑site and global collaboration.

What skills you will have:

  • Manufacturing Processes: Working knowledge of machining and/or assembly processes, process monitoring, and standard work:
    • Experience supporting or operating Mazak, Heller, Okuma, and/or Makino CNC machines
    • Strong analytical capability with experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes from concept through production
    • Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack‑up, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
    • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and make informed, data‑driven decisions
    • Quality‑focused mindset with the ability to act with urgency and accountability to meet business needs
    • Extensive knowledge of CNC programming (Gcode)
    • Experience using CAM software for machining program generation (NX preferred; equivalent systems acceptable)
    • Knowledge of cutting tool selection, calibration, and optimization for CNC machining operations
    • Proficiency using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and indicators.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Ability to identify waste, apply basic lean tools, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Problem Solving: Structured problem‑solving skills using data, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies
  • Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations, evaluate options, and make informed engineering decisions
  • Engineering Fundamentals (Manufacturing): Understanding of equipment, tooling, process flow, and production constraints
  • Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical information with operators, technicians, and cross‑functional partners
