Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer assists and supports technical services within manufacturing operations by performing detailed technical analysis of manufacturing processes, assembly systems, CNC machines, industrial automation, robotics, traceability systems, process monitoring technologies, and NC programming. This role evaluates production capabilities, equipment performance, process capability, tooling strategies, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency to support sound engineering decision-making. The position works closely with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership teams to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.

What You Will Do

  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations across machining and assembly by providing engineering guidance, technical troubleshooting, and process optimization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement process, tooling, robotics, and equipment improvements to enhance safety, quality, cost, throughput, OEE, and productivity.
  • Monitor equipment and process reliability; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for chronic manufacturing issues.
  • Analyze and execute engineering change notices (ECNs) and PCNs, ensuring accurate implementation and successful production ramp-up.
  • Support planning, development, operation, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tooling, robotics, traceability, and process monitoring systems.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools including SMED, line balancing, waste elimination, standard work, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, suppliers, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while supporting operational excellence initiatives.

Education requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English-speaking level is required.

What Skills You Will Have

Manufacturing Processes:

  • Advanced knowledge of machining and assembly processes, cycle time optimization, OEE improvement, line balancing, process monitoring, standard work, capacity analysis, and production systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge supporting, programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing Mazak, Heller, Okuma, and/or Makino CNC machines.
  • Expert in Mazatrol programming, G-Code programming, offsets management, machine capability analysis, fixture validation, repeatability studies, variation reduction, tooling management, and process-to-product correlation.
  • Extensive knowledge of CNC programming, NX CAM software, simulation, tooling optimization, cutting parameters, deep-hole drilling, honing processes, wear mechanisms, and tool-life modeling.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc robotics including Teach Pendant, UFRAME, TOOL FRAME, I/O diagnostics, EOAT review, grippers, vision systems, and CNC–Robot integration.
  • Advanced GD&T interpretation, tolerance stack-up analysis, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, Attribute Agreement, DOE, Cpk, Ppk, Minitab, and 8D methodologies.
  • Working knowledge with Kistler systems including signature analysis, press-fit monitoring, trend analysis, dynamic limits, defect correlation, and process validation.
  • Working knowledge with Atlas Copco systems including PF6000 controllers, Torque-Angle strategies, Yield strategies, rundown analysis, joint analysis, Open Protocol, traceability, and error-proofing.
  • Knowledge of Keyence systems including laser etch programming, OCR validation, Datamatrix verification, traceability architecture, and manufacturing identification systems.
  • Working knowledge with contamination control, Ecoclean washing systems, cleanliness validation, conductivity monitoring, chemical control, and tank management.
  • Strong Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving capabilities using DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, data analytics, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Technical Leadership: PCN ownership, ramp-up management, capacity modeling, automation strategy development, supplier technical reviews, RFQ development, capital justification, global standardization, and coaching engineers.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.

Lean Manufacturing:

  • Ability to identify waste, apply basic lean tools, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Problem Solving:

  • Structured problem‑solving skills using data, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.

Decision Making & Critical Thinking:

  • Ability to analyze situations, evaluate options, and make informed engineering decisions.

Additional Information:

  • This position will be in Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon
  • This position is five-days a week subject to changes and willingness to work sporadically on weekends.
  • Requires working weekends, based on business continuity needs.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.
  • It is possible to rotate shift.
  • Domestic relocation is NOT available with this position.
  • This position may require up to 25% travel.
