This role provides an opportunity to work directly with customers, helping optimise fleet performance, improve operational efficiency and maximise the value of technology investments across mine sites.

The Opportunity

As a MineStar Onboard Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the deployment, optimisation and ongoing performance of MineStar onboard technologies across customer operations. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will work closely with site personnel, maintenance teams, dispatch operators and mine leadership to ensure MineStar systems deliver maximum operational value.

You will play a key role in troubleshooting complex technical issues, driving system improvements, supporting technology adoption and ensuring customers achieve their productivity, safety and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support for MineStar onboard systems across customer mining operations.
• Assist with implementation, configuration, commissioning and optimisation of MineStar technologies.
• Conduct system health checks, performance analysis and troubleshooting activities.
• Work closely with customers to identify opportunities to improve fleet utilisation, productivity and technology adoption.
• Support change management initiatives and promote best practices for MineStar system usage.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues involving onboard hardware, software and communications systems.
• Deliver training and coaching to site personnel on MineStar functionality and operational workflows.
• Gather and communicate customer feedback to support continuous product improvement.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, support and product teams to resolve customer challenges.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive engagement and technical consultation.
• Travel to customer sites as required to support operational requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting mining technology, fleet management systems or operational technology solutions within the mining industry.
• Strong understanding of mining operations, mobile equipment and fleet management processes.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting technical systems in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to safety, customer service and operational excellence.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with Caterpillar MineStar™ solutions.
• Knowledge of Fleet, Terrain, Detect, Health or Command technologies.
• Experience supporting Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS), Fleet Management Systems (FMS) or related mining technologies.
• Background in Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience working on operational mine sites within production, maintenance or technology environments.

Additional Information

• Perth-based position with regular travel to mine sites on an 8/6 roster.
• Domestic relocation maybe offered to the ideal candidate.
