Job Summary:

Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

Our Integrated Logistics (ILS) team provides end-to-end integrated logistics solutions designed, deployed, and executed to support Caterpillar’s global footprint of manufacturing plants, suppliers, distribution centers and dealers.

Capabilities include:

• Packaging Design and Returnable Container Management
• Inbound International and Domestic Transportation
• Logistics Network Operations – including Manufacturing Parts Nodes, Site Logistics and Cross Dock Operations
• Outbound Logistics – International and Domestic: Specialized Cargo and Product Distribution Solutions
• Customs Operations – Ensuring shipment velocity (across international borders) while complying with import and export regulations throughout the world

As the Manager Supply Chain Planning, you are responsible for leading the Supply Chain function for the Manufacturing Parts Network (MPN), with accountability for activities across the Midwest Logistic Center and the Brazil Logistic Center on supply facing processes. MPN is a global network comprised of 700 (plus) manufacturing operations serving our internal customers, 2000 (plus) suppliers, and 7 logistics centers. MPN provides the solution for small parts critical to making and selling Caterpillar products to manufacturing locations as well as Aftermarket parts.

What you will do:

• Accountable for the supply base to MPN in the Americas
• Manage end-to-end supply chain performance, ensuring alignment with manufacturing facilities requirements, inventory objectives, and business priorities.
• Provides leadership and direction to supply chain team responsible for the management of the Manufacturing Parts Network (MPN) supply functions
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve complex supply chain strategies and processes with regional and global reach.
• Partner with suppliers to ensure material availability, delivery performance, capacity alignment, and inventory optimization.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to proactively identify risks, resolve constraints, and improve overall supply chain performance.
• Drive actions to improve material availability, inventory efficiency, supplier performance, and supply chain resilience.
• Establish effective partnerships across Procurement, Operations, Logistics, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and other business functions.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional problem solving and recovery plans related to material shortages, supplier constraints, and supply disruptions.
• Promote standard work, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
• Utilize data and performance metrics to provide clear visibility of supply chain health, communicate priorities, and support effective business decisions.
• Leads, coaches, and develops the team, manages performance and succession planning, and drives effective communication and alignment across functions.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

• Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
• Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling logistical processes.
• Supplier Management: Knowledge of vendor management methodologies, technologies and processes; ability to gain increased value and excellent services from vendors, as well as costs control and risk mitigation throughout the deal life cycle.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• 5 (plus) years of supply chain or related experience with both manufacturing and suppliers
• Formal team leadership experience including remote management
• Advanced English
• Lean and/or 6 Sigma Black Belt Experience.
• Ability to develop and deploy creative/original solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to establish and monitor policies and guidelines.
• Complete degree

• Required Travel: Up to 20% (Domestic & International)
