The Role:
- Manages the planning, organization and implementation of complex programs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Overseeing project processes and procedures; monitoring the productivity and performance of project team.
- Managing all aspects of projects. Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of project.
- Reviewing and ensuring adherence to project materials, deliverables methodologies and procedures.
- Preparing and presenting program level reporting for upper management.
Core Skill's Required:
- Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
- Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
What a Top Candidate Will Bring:
Proven Project Leadership: Demonstrated success leading complex projects within large, global matrix organizations, delivering results through effective planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
Waterfall & Agile Expertise: Strong experience managing projects across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to select and apply the most effective approach to achieve business objectives.
Process Excellence Mindset: Six Sigma Black Belt and/or PMO certification, with a track record of driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and measurable business outcomes.
Executive Stakeholder Management: Exceptional facilitation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, translate complex concepts into clear actions, and build alignment across diverse teams.
Servant Leadership Approach: A collaborative and people-focused leader who empowers teams, removes obstacles, fosters accountability, and creates an environment where individuals and projects can thrive.
Passion for Innovation & Technology: Genuine curiosity for emerging technologies, including AI and automation, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance productivity, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits:
Summary Pay Range: $118,860.00 - $190,176.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
