Caterpillar is seeking a MineStar® Site Manager to join our Underground Mining Technology team.
Based in Perth or Brisbane on an international FIFO roster, this role supports MineStar® Fleet and Command for Underground systems at Freeport Indonesia. As Caterpillar’s senior representative on site, you will work closely with customer leadership teams to develop, implement and manage product support strategies, equipment management processes and technology adoption initiatives that deliver measurable operational outcomes.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced mining technology professional to lead customer engagement and drive the long-term success of autonomous and fleet management solutions at one of the world's largest underground mining operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as Caterpillar's primary MineStar® representative and trusted advisor at site
- Developing strategies to improve technology performance, fleet utilisation and customer outcomes
- Monitoring key site performance metrics including availability, production, operating costs, utilisation and safety
- Identifying customer needs and supporting the deployment of new products, technologies and services
- Providing guidance on equipment management, technology adoption and operational improvement initiatives
- Leading the resolution of complex operational and technical issues
- Supporting system implementation, upgrades and continuous improvement activities
- Analysing performance data to identify optimisation opportunities
- Aligning Caterpillar support activities with customer objectives and recovery strategies
- Coaching and developing site personnel to maximise capability and system utilisation
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, IT, Software Engineering or a related discipline, required to meet Indonesian work visa eligibility requirements
- Significant experience in mining technology, MineStar®, fleet management systems, automation or operational technology (OT)
- Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment management and operational improvement
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across operational and leadership teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on customer success
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency, and the ability to obtain and maintain all visas, work permits and approvals required to work in Indonesia
