As a Senior Supplier Compliance and Governance Lead, you will help drive enterprise initiatives that support regulatory compliance, supplier risk management, responsible sourcing, and business decision-making. This role partners closely with Procurement, Sustainability, Legal, International Trade, Product Compliance, and business teams to collect, analyze, and transform supplier information into meaningful insights that support compliance programs and strategic business decisions.
In this role you will serve as a strategic partner to our procurement groups by gathering supplier data, analyzing compliance requirements, monitoring evolving regulations, identifying risks, and supporting governance initiatives across the enterprise. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, communication skills, business process improvement capabilities, and the ability to thrive in an environment where requirements and regulations continue to evolve.

What you will do:
Supplier Compliance & Governance
Lead and support enterprise supplier compliance initiatives related to regulatory compliance, responsible sourcing, supplier risk management, governance activities, due diligence processes, and compliance reporting.
Help ensure supplier compliance programs remain effective, scalable, and aligned with evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to communicate requirements, drive timely responses, resolve issues, and support successful implementation of compliance and governance initiatives.
Data Collection, Analysis & Business Insights
Collect, validate, aggregate, and analyze supplier data from multiple sources to support compliance, sustainability, and governance objectives.
Transform supplier data into actionable insights that support business decisions and risk management activities.
Monitor trends, identify gaps, and develop reporting that enables stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Business Process Improvement & Transformation
Lead efforts to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve supplier compliance and governance processes.
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, improve data quality, reduce risk, and enhance the overall effectiveness of compliance programs.
Partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead multiple projects simultaneously, including project planning, stakeholder engagement, milestone tracking, implementation, and sustainment activities.
Coordinate across functions to manage competing priorities and drive successful outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Support deployment of new tools, processes, governance models, and reporting capabilities.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communications
Build productive relationships across Procurement, Sustainability, Legal, International Trade, Product Compliance, Supply Chain, and Business Divisions.
Develop communications, training materials, presentations, and stakeholder engagement plans that support adoption and accountability.
Facilitate cross-functional alignment and build consensus among diverse stakeholders to drive decisions, establish priorities, and advance initiatives with competing interests.

Matrix Management: Experience building partnerships across functions, balancing competing priorities, and gaining alignment among stakeholders in a complex environment.
Procurement Function: Understanding of various procurement processes, regulatory considerations, governance requirements, and organizational objectives.
Top candidates will also have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience established experience leading cross-functional projects, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering business transformation results.
Experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, governance, compliance, or transformation initiatives.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a compliance, governance, or risk-management environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive results within a matrixed organization without direct reporting authority.
Experience facilitating workshops, process mapping sessions, and cross-functional working teams.
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships and support internal business partners.
Advanced Excel, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who can navigate ambiguity and adapt to evolving business requirements.
Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Compliance, Responsible Sourcing, Sustainability, Regulatory Compliance, International Trade, Product Compliance, Substance Compliance, Governance, or Risk Management is preferred.
Additional information:
Primary Work Location: This role can be based in Irving, TX or Peoria, IL and will require working onsite five days a week.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available.
Travel: This position may require occasional travel projected at 10%

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
