This position will have primary responsibility for supporting G3500 EP legacy products, G3500H, and emerging G3500K product support activities. The role will focus on product health monitoring, field issue resolution, CPI/PIR/PIP/PSP support, technical problem solving, and cross-functional coordination to improve product reliability, customer satisfaction, and warranty exposure.
What you will do
Monitor G3500 product performance and field trends to identify emerging issues, support customer satisfaction, and reduce warranty exposure.
Investigate product issues, analyze field data, identify root cause, and support development and validation of corrective actions.
Support CPI, PIR, PIP, and PSP activities related to G3500 EP, G3500H, and G3500K field performance concerns.
Provide technical guidance to dealers, customers, engineering teams, quality teams, and other Caterpillar organizations.
Support G3500K product improvement activities, including issue investigation, stakeholder alignment, and training coordination.
Assist with New Product Introduction support by providing field issue input, product support feedback, and serviceability recommendations.
Analyze warranty claims, DSN activity, CPI/PIR/PIP data, customer feedback, and field reports to identify trends and recommend actions.
Develop and support technical communications, service information, issue summaries, and field support plans.
Coordinate cross-functional issue resolution with engineering, platform, quality, performance, manufacturing, marketing, and dealer support teams.
Participate in dealer and customer engagements to support technical discussions, field issue reviews, and urgent product concerns.
Support internal technical training and knowledge transfer activities for G3500 products.
Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide support and guidance to less experienced engineers, technologists, analysts, and service personnel as needed.
Travel to customer, dealer, supplier, or Caterpillar sites pending business need.
Degree Requirements
4-year degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.

Top Candidates will also have:
Advanced understanding of large gas engine products, especially G3500 EP, G3500H, and/or G3500 platforms.
Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret field data, warranty information, DSN activity, and customer feedback.
Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex technical information clearly.
Strong personal initiative, ownership, and independent technical judgment.
Ability to work effectively across engineering, quality, product support, dealers, and customer-facing teams.
Experience supporting CPI, PIR, PIP, PSP, or similar product improvement processes.
Familiarity with Caterpillar systems and processes such as DSN, CPI, PIR, PIP, PSP, warranty systems, service publications, and field support processes.
Product troubleshooting experience in customer, dealer, lab, or field environments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across legacy product support and emerging product needs.
Demonstrated ability to support training, knowledge transfer, and technical communication activities.
Additional Information
This position may require less than 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
