Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manager Sales & Operations Planning (Orders Supervisor) to join SGP-Orders & Logistics -Global Finance Services Division

.An Orders Supervisor position has arisen within the Order Fulfilment Department. The Order Fulfilment team is responsible for the management of prime product orders for Caterpillar dealers within Europe, Africa, or Middle East Region, from order entry through to shipment and delivery.

Based in Bangalore, India, the Orders Supervisor will manage Caterpillar prime product orders and related attachments received from assigned dealers on behalf of the Electric Power, Oil & Gas and Marine, Industrial business units within Power & Energy.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN

What you will do

  • Lead a team of Account Specialists within Power & Energy.
  • People Management including daily interaction and performance management.
  • Execute KPI governance and maintain internal procedures and policies such as Order Guide, SOX and Trade Compliance requirements.
  • Develop improved policies and procedures to strengthen compliance initiatives.
  • Oversees order fulfilment queries. Maintaining a good level of customer satisfaction and good communication.
  • Order follow-up; entry-build-delivery-invoice and maintain communication liaison between factory, divisional work team, and customer.
  • Ensure orders are processed within company guidelines, policies, and procedures of assigned territories.
  • Follow up with factories, shipping arrangements in close cooperation with Trade Lane team, forwarders, issuance of shipping documentation, certification, handling letters of credit and invoicing.
  • Having an understanding or knowledge of various terms and procedures related to prime product export documentation and invoicing.
  • Could also be assigned to administer any of the supporting processes used within the Orders group such as finished goods stock processes, insurance claims, website updates, department documentation and reports.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all on-line prime product sales related systems used for processing dealer orders, reporting sales, shipping, and collection (EOMP, SAP).
  • Maintain good ongoing communications and relations with dealers and handling their enquiries in an expedient and accurate way.
  • Liaise and work with management and other departments regarding new policy and procedure introduction relating to the Order Fulfilment Team.
  • Travel to dealer premises to train new staff, introduce new processes, deliver presentations etc.
  • Manage completion of team and own work assignments and coordinate with others in the team environment to meet rigid completion dates for proposal responses.
  • Manage regional specific activities where appropriate, e.g. approval of discounts, commercial invoice processing, supplemental invoices.
  • Limited travel is required for this role (Less than 10%).

What you will have

  • Knowledge of order processing systems (EOMP-SAP) and knowledge of various Caterpillar product line.
  • Bachelor’s Degree level, with 3-5 years of job-related experience, e.g., Processing of Orders, Import/Export Procedures and Documentation, Shipping/Logistics, Managing Letters of Credit and Foreign Trade.
  • Fluency (both written and verbal) in English Language.
  • IT literacy is beneficial with special emphasis on Excel and Power BI.
  • Organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Interpersonal skills, Leadership skills and problem-solving ability.
  • This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.
