About the Role:
The Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division currently has an exciting opportunity located in Lafayette, IN., or Houston, TX. As a Product Health Engineer, you will be responsible for focusing on customer value and optimizing the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of Caterpillar Services and Product solutions including engines, transmissions, energy storage systems, and connected solutions. This position will work directly with design controls, dealers, and end users with the goal of making a positive impact on customer experience and improving customer retention.
Additional Information:
· This position can sit in Houston, Texas or Lafayette IN.
· Up to 10% of travel is required, including globally.

· This position requires working onsite five days a week.
What You Will Do:
· Be the driver of product health initiatives by interfacing with customers, dealers, and engineering teams
· Develop customer relationships by offering customer service and technical support
· Be the point-of-contact for new product introduction and continuous product improvement for customer applications
· Collaborate with other departments within division for information gathering, technical updates, product support, field follow and new product introduction
· Travel in the field to monitor and resolve issues regarding customer satisfaction and future product needs
· Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences. Good human relations skills are required to develop a collaborative/cooperative relationship with others inside and outside the business unit.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Top Candidates Will Have:
· Demonstrated ability to cultivate customer & dealer relationships
· Oil & Gas industry experience
· Experience across multiple product lines (large engines, transmissions, well service pumps, motors, controls, power generation, other)
· Prior experience in dealer/customer facing positions
· Demonstrated high levels of motivation (self-starter / take initiative)
· Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information effectively
· Oil and Gas industry experience in a technical support role
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology or equivalent experience
· 3+ years of experience with large equipment/power systems
· Experience working w/ varied disciplines (engineering, customers, dealers, product support, operations, marketing)
Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
