As a Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing workplace health services, promoting employee wellness, supporting injury prevention efforts, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. This position partners closely with employees, leaders, and safety teams to foster a safe and healthy work environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide on-site occupational health nursing care and first aid treatment for employees.
  • Assess, document, and manage workplace injuries and illnesses, including coordinating appropriate follow-up care.
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring employee care plans.
  • Promote employee health and wellness through education, training, and awareness initiatives.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and support hazard identification and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Support compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Utilize clinical judgment to assess employee health concerns and coordinate care recommendations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Safety, Environmental Health teams, and external healthcare providers as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain medical equipment and supplies used within the occupational health clinic.
  • Participate in wellness programs, medical surveillance initiatives, and return-to-work processes.

What You Have:

  • Education/Experience: Accredited Registered Nurse (RN) degree with a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois (or ability to obtain). Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
  • Medical Record Management: Experience maintaining accurate, confidential medical records and ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Clinical Assessment & Nursing Care: Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide nursing care while developing and implementing appropriate care plans.
  • Occupational Health & Safety Compliance: Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Strong ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate with employees, leaders, healthcare providers, and cross-functional teams.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Previous occupational health, industrial nursing, emergency room, urgent care, or employee health experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate workplace setting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation processes, and case management practices.
  • Experience conducting health screenings, wellness initiatives, and injury prevention programs.
  • Ability to analyze health trends and provide recommendations to improve workplace safety and employee well-being.
  • Experience educating employees and managers on occupational health topics and safe work practices.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems.

Additional Information:
Required Travel: Minimal (0–10%)
Work Schedule: Full-Time, First Shift (40 hours per week)

Summary Pay Range:

$81,370.00 - $122,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
