The Role:
- Supports accounting and business users of our Management Reporting and FPA systems. This role partners with the Finance Transformation EPM technology team, Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) team to implement systems, tools and process improvements that support management reporting and FPA.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide global Oracle EPM business user support for Oracle EPM modules used in management reporting and FPA processes
- Implement global process improvements for management reporting and FPA
- Maintain global process maps and approve standard process exceptions for management reporting and FPA
- Coordinate with business users to collect and document management reporting and FPA business user system requirements for management reporting and FPA system implementations and enhancements
- Support global training and change management activities
Basic Skills Required:
- Business Process Design: Knowledge of business process design; ability to develop appropriate techniques to re-examine key processes and focus on optimizing organizational performance.
- Operational Functions: Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Managing Change: Knowledge of the necessity to adapt self and team to evolving business needs; ability to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives that improve the organization's performance in light of new requirements.
- Business Intelligence: Knowledge of business intelligence; ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions.
- Software as a Service (SaaS): Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) concepts and technologies; ability to apply these to the design, development, implementation, and management of computing products.
Required Qualifications:
- 4-year degree, preferably in accounting, finance or related technology discipline
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem-solve and connect process design concepts with practical business user needs
- Effective communication skills
- 5+ years of professional work experience specific to accounting, management reporting and/or FPA methodologies and processes
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Recent experience with reporting and planning tools and technology, particularly Oracle EPM Cloud experience
- 5+ years of professional work experience specific to accountable reporting and/or FPA methodologies and processes
- Demonstrated understanding of managing entity hierarchies within a management reporting system and experience with business user support of a management reporting and/or FPA system.
- Demonstrated experience in transformational initiatives that involve people, process and technology changes
Compensation & Benefits:
Summary Pay Range: $118,860.00 - $190,176.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

This position requires the successful candidate to work full time, 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.
