What will you do?

As the Senior Marketing Technology & Data Consultant you will work between marketing teams and technical delivery teams to lead the strategic development, adoption, and execution of marketing technologies and processes in support of Cat OnPoint Marketing Services (Personalized Digital Marketing at Scale).

In the OnPoint context, this role serves as the primary business‑to‑technology liaison and program quarterback, accountable for intake, prioritization, and coordination of dealer onboarding and optimization work across Account Managers, Cat Digital delivery teams, Dealers, and Business Units. You will also:

  • Lead intake, triage, and prioritization of OnPoint dealer and business requests, ensuring clarity before work enters delivery.

  • Translate business needs into validated business and functional requirements, including dependencies, acceptance criteria, and business sign‑off.

  • Serve as the first line of defense for dealer onboarding questions, journey changes, and program issues; resolve standard needs independently and escalate to SMEs when appropriate.

  • Coordinate execution across Cat Digital delivery teams, Account Managers, Dealers, and cross‑BU partners to maintain delivery momentum across long‑running dealer plans.

  • Represent the business in planning, backlog prioritization, and roadmap discussions, ensuring the highest‑value work is sequenced appropriately.

  • Maintain situational awareness across all active dealers within an assigned region, proactively identifying risks, delays, or misalignment.

  • Ensure measurement and analytics considerations are incorporated during intake, partnering with analytics owners without performing analytics execution.

This position operates within the Central European time zone and works closely with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT teams in the United States. The role requires effective collaboration across multiple time zones and cross-functional teams, with a strong partnership approach to support the EAME region.

What you have:

Background and experience:

  • Digital Marketing: Knowledge of processes, techniques, and platforms of digital marketing; ability to implement or manage digital marketing programs.

  • Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers).

  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

  • Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

  • Datadriven orientation: this is a strongly data‑focused role, requiring solid knowledge of SQL, experience working with Data Lakes, and the ability to understand and apply data analytics concepts to support decision‑making and ensure measurement considerations are incorporated early in delivery.

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Creativity: Knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a variety of business situations.

  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

  • Advanced knowledge of marketing technology platforms, digital marketing processes, and marketing data concepts.

  • Strong capability in requirements definition, dependency management, and cross‑functional coordination.

  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and translate complex business needs into executable work.

  • Strong stakeholder communication and issue‑resolution skills.

  • Can work on moderate to complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and extended timelines.

  • Prioritization, sequencing, and escalation to balance speed, quality, and scalability.

  • Accountability for reducing delivery risk and protecting higher‑cost SME and Account Manager capacity.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Nexus, supporting marketing technology and analytics ecosystems.

  • Experience collaborating within diverse, cross-cultural teams.
