Job Purpose:
The candidate will be working within Caterpillar’s global IT organization translating business strategy into solutions for the material management and planning area within the SAP team. The Inventory Management/Warehouse Management (IM/WM) function supports end-to-end material movement, from inbound receiving through final product shipping, including all intermediate processes. Core responsibilities include solution governance, functional design (requirements definition, functional specifications, and test scenario development), system deployments, and periodic Level 4 production support.
Description:
This position is primarily responsible for:
- Providing direction for requirement blueprint sessions, design and feedback to the customers
- Identifying and training facilities to utilize template solutions
- Performing validation and sign-off of 3rd Party deliverables (i.e. testing, documentation)
- Collaborating with project leads, system architects and partners to identify and implement best practices
- Documenting functional / technical specifications for solution development
- Documenting master data requirements for solution development, testing, and execution
- Documenting test scenarios for solution validation (i.e. unit, string, integration, and UAT)
- Ensuring change requests are appropriate and consistent with application roadmaps
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or other technology related degree.
- 5-7 years of IT experience, along with 6-10 years of ERP related experience (can be concurrent).
- 4-5 years of experience with SAP IM/WM module.
- Working knowledge of EDI/IDOC standards.
- 1-2 years of Digital Manufacturing or Shop Floor experience
- Advanced English
Top Candidate Will Also Have:
- Experience with SAP Inventory and Warehouse Management
- Experience with SAP Configuration to support IM/WM and MM requirements.
- Strong customer focus and ability to influence
- Ability to quickly understand technology changes and drive advancement within the organization
- Ability to understand both technology and business domains
Additional Details:
- Location: Brazil
- Travel: 25%
Note: This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week.
