Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Accountant(Senior Finance Analyst) to join COE Accountable – Global Finance Services Division .

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore Office, KA-India

What you will do

  • Perform the tasks related to the transition of the Accountable Reporting (ACOE) projects in line with scope of work, timelines, business requirements and defined metrics/KPIs
  • Manage process efficiency by identifying and leveraging on tools & technologies to run, optimize or transform processes
  • Participate in knowledge transfer sessions, define and own the documentation (process maps, instruction manuals and relevant scorecards/trackers)
  • Partner with multiple global stakeholders on day-to-day operations, faster issue resolution, integrating change requests, participating in regular reviews and providing analysis/insights to support business decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement via simplification, standardization and automation
  • Embed change management best practices
  • Become a subject matter expert on Accountable Reporting data, processes, reports and systems of Caterpillar
  • Keep abreast with continuing changes within the landscape of responsibility area and Caterpillar

  • Any experience in Accountable Reporting, preferable but not limited to cost allocations, month end closing, P&L analysis/commentary, performance management, intercompany charges etc.
  • This role requires specific knowledge or the ability to quickly learn Caterpillar’s Accountable Reporting (ACOE) process including methodology, transactions and closing processes
  • Advanced skills in Excel and making effective PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience in handling multiple and large data sets.
  • Data modelling for reporting/analysis and experience in PowerBI is a plus
  • An estimated 10+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience is typically required
  • Any graduate/postgraduate
  • This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.
  • Shift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST(EMEA Shift)
  • IC (Individual Contributor Role)

Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
