The Senior Orders & Demand Consultant is a dealer‑facing, tactical role supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across Eastern U.S. dealer regions. Working directly with dealers to support the planning and ordering of machines, you will serve as a primary point of contact for questions, issue resolution, and ongoing planning support.
In this role you will partner closely with dealers and internal teams to improve forecast accuracy, order quality, and inventory outcomes, while driving consistent, data‑driven decision making. With strong visibility and active involvement in planning and ordering transformation, you will play a key part in improving availability, reducing volatility, and enhancing the dealer and customer experience.

What you will do:
Act as a primary dealer‑facing point of contact for planning, ordering, and issue resolution related to machine demand and orders across Eastern U.S. dealer regions.
Support dealers with tactical planning and ordering of machines, ensuring alignment with demand plans and S&OP outputs.
Lead monthly S&OP calls with dealers, bringing together North America dealers virtually to review demand, risks, priorities, and execution actions.
Partner directly with dealers to improve forecast accuracy, order planning, and S&OP execution.
Strengthen dealer planning cadence, governance, and adoption of standard planning and ordering processes.
Identify and proactively address issues and risks related to forecast, ordering, or inventory performance, acting with urgency to mitigate impact.
Coordinate cross‑functional partners to align demand, supply, and sales plans across Product Groups, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
Support initiatives such as Auto‑Replenish Inventory Management (AIM), dealer on‑the‑ground inventory programs, and S&OP work tools to improve availability and inventory optimization.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities in planning, ordering, and inventory outcomes.
Capture dealer feedback and translate insights into immediate corrective actions and longer‑term process improvements.
Train and guide dealers and internal teams on best practices in planning, ordering, and inventory management.
Drive behavioral change toward consistent, customer‑backed, data‑driven decision making.

Communicate clearly and concisely, building trust through transparency and follow-through with dealers, peers, and executive leadership (VP/SVP).
Familiarity with machine and dealer S&OP processes.
Additional Information:
Primary Work Location: This role is based in Peoria, IL and requires the ability to work in-office five days per week.
Relocation: Domestic relocation assistance is available.
Travel: This role will require 10-15% travel.
Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship, international assignments, and payroll transfers are not available for this role.
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
