Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manager IT Engagement(Customer solutions) to join our Customer Solutions & COD IT – Bangalore CAT IT Division.

This role serves as a leader, subject matter expert, and trusted advisor responsible for shaping and delivering technology solutions that enable Customer Solutions business outcomes and future‑state strategy. The role partners closely with business and IT leadership to translate business strategy into scalable, secure, and sustainable IT solutions, leveraging both existing platforms and emerging technologies.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN

What you will do

  • Strategic Business Partnership
    Actively engages with business executives and functional leaders to understand strategic priorities, operational challenges, and growth objectives, translating those needs into aligned IT solutions that adhere to enterprise guiding principles and architectural standards.
  • Solution & Process Co‑Creation
    Leads the definition and co‑development of end‑to‑end business processes and enabling technology solutions to address identified business challenges, ensuring solutions are practical, extensible, and measurable against intended outcomes.
  • Enterprise & Program Alignment
    Ensures strong alignment with major Customer Solutions business modernization programs and core process initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to streamline operations, reduce complexity, and improve time‑to‑value across the portfolio.
  • Automation & AI‑First Mindset
    Champions an automation‑first and AI‑enabled approach to solution design, embedding digital, data, and intelligent capabilities to drive efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross‑Functional Delivery Leadership
    Accountable for partnering with Enterprise Architects, Software Architects, product teams, and Project Managers to define solution scope, estimates, staffing plans, and delivery roadmaps that achieve agreed‑upon business outcomes.
  • Portfolio & Program Oversight
    Manages multiple concurrent projects and programs, balancing priorities, dependencies, and capacity while ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, architectural integrity, and delivery commitments.
  • Solution Architecture Governance
    Collaborates closely with solution architecture throughout planning, execution, and closure phases, incorporating ongoing feedback and continuous improvement to address evolving business and architectural needs.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Transparency
    Provides clear, concise, and ongoing communication to business leaders, IT leadership, Enterprise Architects, and global architecture communities on solution direction, tradeoffs, risks, and progress.
  • Issue Resolution & Risk Mitigation
    Proactively identifies and removes impediments, resolves architectural or delivery risks, and drives timely decision‑making to prevent delays or misalignment during implementation.
  • End‑to‑End Lifecycle Accountability
    Acts as the trusted liaison between business and enterprise IT across the full solution lifecycle, including new product introduction, implementation, deployment, transition to support, and ongoing enhancement and optimization.
