Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.

When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Global Finance Strategy Program Oasis team and play a key role in our OneStream implementation. This role sits at the intersection of accounting and enterprise finance transformation, helping modernize forecasting and analysis capabilities across the enterprise with a focus on cascade processes. You will lead design efforts in this space, ensuring end‑to‑end integration and functionality, while supporting the delivery of new forecast models. You will also serve as a trusted business partner to teams across the enterprise, driving adoption of enhanced analytical capabilities.

This is a high‑impact opportunity to develop deep OneStream expertise while collaborating closely with Corporate Consolidations, XP&A, and business unit stakeholders. In this role, you will translate business and accounting needs into system capabilities, helping shape a modern finance platform and advancing our journey toward autonomous, scalable analysis.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with a solution‑oriented, quick‑thinking, and strategic team to design and execute enterprise‑level forecasting models.
  • Build deep OneStream expertise with a specific focus on cascade methodology and the Allocations Management tool.
  • Lead and contribute to design and solutioning efforts, ensuring cascade and accountable reporting needs are fully considered.
  • Act as a liaison between business teams, Strategy, and IT functions during system design, redesign, and enhancement activities.
  • Ensure forecast and cascade designs align with accounting, reporting, and Corporate requirements.
  • Support the Autonomous Analysis journey by aiding teams during parallel cycles, implementation activities, and continuous improvement phases.

What You Have

  • Education / Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with extensive experience in enterprise finance, accounting, and forecasting environments, including demonstrated ownership of complex, cross‑functional initiatives. OneStream experience and knowledge of Caterpillar accountable methodology are preferred.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the value of precision and the ability to complete work with a high level of accuracy in complex, data‑driven environments.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong business acumen with advanced problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to interpret, synthesize, and apply insights across finance processes.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze situations, evaluate options, and make informed decisions using sound judgment in dynamic environments.
  • Effective Communications: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex ideas and requirements across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Demonstrated capability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, balancing competing demands while meeting deadlines.
  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting: Solid knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and enterprise finance processes within a complex, global organization.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Hands‑on OneStream experience
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar’s accountable reporting process, including methodology and cascade processes
  • Experience working in a global environment with a strong global mindset
