Job Summary

This role serves as a key individual contributor within the Treasury Services Tower, Corporate Treasury organization, responsible for leading and executing Treasury transformation and technology projects across regions. The position focuses on delivering high‑impact initiatives such as ISO 20022 migration, Trax payment hub deployments, treasury management system enhancements, and other enterprise Treasury modernization programs.

The role requires close partnership with global Treasury, IT, corporate banks, business units and Global Business Services teams to ensure seamless implementation, operational readiness, and ongoing optimization of Treasury systems and processes.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Treasury Project Management

  • Lead end‑to‑end project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with global strategy, timelines, and business objectives.
  • Manage complex, multi‑regional projects including:
    • ISO 20022 migration
    • Trax deployment and integration within the Caterpillar global payments ecosystem
    • Quantum treasury management system upgrades, enhancements and optimization
    • Connectivity and bank integration projects (SWIFT, Host-to-Host)
  • Work closely with Treasury technology teams to define requirements, support design, testing (SIT/UAT), go‑live, and post-implementation stabilization.

Treasury Operations & Process Optimization

  • Analyse current-state Treasury processes and help to identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and standardize.
  • Support transformation initiatives across cash management, payments, bank connectivity, liquidity, and reporting.
  • Assess risks and recommend controls related to new or updated Treasury processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with global Treasury, IT, Global Business Services, Banking partners, Quantum and Trax support teams.
  • Ensure clear communication of project objectives, timelines, risks, and deliverables.

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Apply expertise in end-to-end treasury processes, including cash management, liquidity management, risk management, and bank integrations.
  • Provide subject matter guidance on ISO 20022 formats, XML schemas, bank messaging standards, and payment workflows.
  • Serve as a knowledge resource for Trax and Quantum functionalities, ensuring best-practice usage and configuration.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Create executive-ready presentations summarizing project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in simplified, clear language tailored to the audience.

Basic Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Proven experience in Treasury operations, or project management, with exposure to Treasury technology platforms, such as Trax and Quantum.
  • Experience managing or delivering Treasury transformation projects.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of Treasury processes end-to-end.
  • Ability to manage change, drive continuous improvement, and influence across global business units.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and control.
  • Microsoft Office 365 proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).

Education:

  • Requires a college degree in finance, economics or business administration or equivalent experience in the areas of foreign exchange, commodity management, economics, cash management, banking, financial markets or funding.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible Treasury job-related experience is typically required.
  • Other:
    • Flexibility to work some U.S./EAME shift hours is required.
    • Moderate travel may be required (between 0% to 5% of working time).
    • 5 Days work from office is needed

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Prior experience in:

  • Treasury management systems (TMS) — Quantum, Kyriba, SAP TRM, etc.
  • Trax or other Payment Factory / Payment Hub solutions
  • ISO 20022 migration or bank connectivity programs
  • Working in a Shared Service or COE environment
  • Project management certification/experience (PMP, Agile, etc. preferred but not required).
