Manager Material Requirements Planning
Responsible for ensuring uninterrupted production by managing optimal inventory levels of raw materials, components, and WIP. Oversees material flow from suppliers to the production floor, ensures inventory accuracy, supports production schedules, and leads materials teams within a manufacturing environment while partnering cross‑functionally to drive efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Materials & Inventory Control
▸Maintain agreed-upon inventory levels to support production plans and avoid line stoppages.
▸Manage raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods inventories within the manufacturing facility.
▸Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
▸Perform receiving, inspection coordination, ticketing, and material issuance to production lines.
▸Ensure inventory stockroom and production line-side storage meet environmental, safety, and product-specific requirements (e.g., FIFO, lot traceability, ESD, shelf-life controls).
▸Support MRP-driven material replenishment and production scheduling needs.
Production & Operations Support
▸Coordinate material availability with Production and Planning teams to meet daily and long-term manufacturing schedules.
▸Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines to support takt time and throughput goals.
▸Align material handling processes with manufacturing workflows, lean principles, and standard work.
▸Support new product introductions (NPI) and production changeovers by ensuring timely materials readiness.
Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination
▸Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to support manufacturing requirements.
▸Participate in supplier negotiations related to delivery schedules, lead times, and material availability.
▸Coordinate inbound deliveries to minimize disruption to production and reduce material handling and storage costs.
▸Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to identify supply risks and improvement opportunities.
Team Leadership & Workforce Management
▸Supervise materials handlers, storekeepers, and inventory control personnel in a manufacturing setting.
▸Manage staffing levels to support production demand, overtime planning, and shift coverage.
▸Train team members on material handling equipment, safety procedures, manufacturing support processes, and inventory systems.
▸Ensure compliance with labor policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Process Improvement & Problem Solving
▸Identify inefficiencies in materials flow, storage layout, and line-side delivery.
▸Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to improve production support and inventory turns.
▸Apply root-cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, basic data analysis) to address shortages, delays, or inventory inaccuracies.
▸Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
Systems, Reporting & Analytics
▸Coordinate maintenance and effective use of inventory and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP/MRP, WMS).
▸Track key materials KPIs such as inventory accuracy, shortages, excess, and on-time delivery to production.
▸Prepare basic inventory and materials performance reports for production leadership and senior management.
▸Use analytical tools to support material planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
Qualifications
▸Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
▸3–5 years of experience in materials planning, inventory control, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment
▸Experience supporting production schedules and working with shop-floor teams.
▸Exposure to ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing inventory processes.

Additional Information
▸Full Time Employment - On Site 5 days
▸Working Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 am. – 04:30 pm.
▸Work location: Caterpillar (Thailand) Ltd. WHA Industrial Land, T.Nonglalok, A.Bankhai, Rayong
