We offer an Internship Program for a period of 3 months.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Undergraduate to join Caterpillar Financial Services Malaysia. Cat Financial provides retail and wholesale financing solutions and extended protection products to Cat customers and dealers for the complete line of Cat machinery and engines, Solar® gas turbines, other related equipment and marine vessels. Whether our customers are looking to finance equipment, acquire working capital, improve cash flow or protect their investment, Cat Financial understands our customers’ businesses and has the solutions to fit their needs.

Job Summary

This internship provides a practical opportunity to gain insight into the responsibilities of the credit department in managing the company's financial risk. Interns will have exposure to various aspects of credit operations while contributing to meaningful projects and acquiring valuable industry knowledge.

What You Will Do

  • Support Credit Analysts for Credit Due Diligences Process or any other assignment during daily operation.

  • Learn more on the Sales and Portfolio management function

What You Have

  • Strong Financial Statement analysis skill

  • Knowledge and implementation of AI in the workplace

  • Highly motivated to learn new skills and resilient under pressure within a KPI-driven environment

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve immediate issues systematically

Learning Outcomes

  • Hard Skills in Credit & Financial Analytics
    - Credit Due Diligence: Hands-on experience in conducting deep-dive risk assessments and credit checks on clients.
    - Financial Statement Analysis: Practical knowledge in evaluating financial health, creditworthiness, and debt-service capability.
    - Risk Mitigation: Understanding credit scoring models, risk parameters, and financial compliance.

  • Business & Strategy Skills
    - Portfolio Management: Insights into monitoring loan/credit portfolios, managing defaults, and balancing risk versus return.
    - Sales Function Knowledge: Understanding client acquisition, credit product structuring, and the front-office sales cycle.
    - Data-Driven Decisions: Learning how commercial data is leveraged to make strategic corporate lending decisions.

  • Professional Soft Skills
    - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience bridging the gap and coordinating between the department.
    - Daily Operations Agility: Adaptability to fast-paced corporate environments by handling ad-hoc assignments and daily operational tasks.

  • Sponsorship for employment visa in Malaysia is not available.

  • Work Location: Puchong, Selangor.

  • This position requires working onsite five days a week.
