The EHS Associate IV- Fountain Inn supports safety initiatives and compliance programs with minimal supervision. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to coach others in safety practices.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Manage the facility EHS Action Plan
• Ensure facility EHS Assurance Manual compliance
• Identify and complete initiatives related to high energy risk reduction in the facility
• Serve as the facility contractor safety sponsor and ensure compliance to the contractor safety playbook
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Conduct Industrial Hygiene sampling (air and noise) when requested to do so.
• Facilitate and audit chemical approval processes.
• Develop and maintain PPE matrices.
• Write and review safe job procedures.
• Lead KAIZEN events and continuous improvement efforts.
• Manage training records and safety equipment databases.
• Facilitate training and develop new training materials where applicable aligned with the division’s safety strategy.
• Lead the facility safety team.
• Deliver safety communications in PIDs and team meetings as needed.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of EHS experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, HazCom, and fire safety standards.
• Experience in training and coaching employees.

Summary Pay Range:

$23.25 - $29.55

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
