We are looking for motivated and adaptable professionals who are eager to learn our business, work closely with customers and dealers, and build a long-term career with Caterpillar Financial in Japan to be part of the Caterpillar Financial Future Talent (JFT) Program. The ideal candidates are curious, commercially minded, and comfortable working across different functions and assignments. They bring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the confidence to build relationships in a customer-facing environment. Fluency in customer-facing and business Japanese communication is essential, together with at least conversational English skills to support collaboration across a global organization.
Objective
The Caterpillar Financial Japan Future Talent (JFT) Program is a development program for applicants between 3-10 years of experience, that provides exposure to different areas of our core business. Participants receive a high degree of management focus and deliberate assignment placement during the program.
This program is designed for ambitious early-career professionals who are ready to accelerate their development, broaden their business perspective, and build a meaningful career with Caterpillar Financial. Through hands-on rotational assignments, leadership development opportunities, and direct engagement with customers and dealers, participants will gain the experience, confidence, and network needed to transition into a field sales role after completing the program. High-performing participants who demonstrate strong leadership potential may also have the opportunity to grow into leadership roles as their careers progress.
Program Structure
Program participants will partake in up to three rotational developments, each between 18 to 24 months. Total program duration will be between 4 to 6 years, depending on participant readiness. The assignments can be in customer-facing, origination, credit, and specialty roles. These assignments include but are not limited to: Credit, Customer Accounts/Relations, Sales Support.
What to expect during this rotation program:

Possible role rotation* in program:
- Credit Analyst – you will evaluate customer creditworthiness and financial risk by analysing financial information and credit history to support lending decisions, manage portfolio risk, and protect business profitability.
- Customer Services Representative – you will provide frontline customer support by managing customer inquiries, resolving issues, coordinating services, and maintaining customer relationships to ensure a high-quality customer experience
- Sales Support Representative – you will support sales growth by providing customer, dealer, and contract support, maintaining customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand the use of company products and services.
- Customer Account Specialist: you will manage a portfolio of customer accounts by monitoring receivables, securing payment commitments, resolving delinquency issues, and supporting healthy customer financial relationships
*this list is not exhaustive and rotations and timing are subject to vary based on the needs of the business.
After the Program
Following successful completion of the program, participants will be well-positioned to take on a field sales role, such as Territory Manager or Associate Area Sales Operations Manager, working directly with Caterpillar dealers and customers to drive business growth, strengthen relationships, and deliver solutions that support customer success. This first post-program role provides an exciting opportunity to apply the experience gained through the rotations, build commercial capability, and continue developing toward future career growth within Caterpillar Financial.
- Territory Manager – you will serve as the key liaison between Caterpillar, dealers, and customers within an assigned territory. The role focuses on growing market share, identifying business opportunities, supporting product and service sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving business plan targets.
- Associate Area Sales Operations Manager – you will act as the primary commercial partner to dealers, helping them execute sales strategies, improve operational performance, increase market share, and drive profitable growth. The role combines sales leadership, dealer relationship management, forecasting, business planning, and operational support to ensure achievement of business objectives
