About the Role
We are looking to hire a Supply Network Specialist wanting to join our team in Burnie.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or further develop their career in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or supplier performance within a world-class manufacturing environment. You will work closely with buyers, suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to support procurement activities that enable safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
You'll contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes while helping ensure quality, cost, delivery, and supplier performance objectives are achieved.
In This Role You'll
- Support procurement and sourcing activities across a range of materials, components, equipment, and services
- Assist buyers and procurement professionals in achieving targets relating to Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM)
- Perform analysis and maintenance of procurement processes to improve efficiency and operational performance
- Support supplier selection activities and provide pricing information to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to purchasing and supply chain improvement initiatives
- Assist with purchase order creation, contract administration, and procurement documentation
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and purchasing metrics
- Work collaboratively with logistics teams to support the effective movement of materials and goods
- Maintain procurement records and support system data accuracy
- Assist with reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement projects across the procurement function
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a motivated and analytical individual with strong organisational and communication skills. Ideally, you will have:
- A degree qualified in a related discipline or several years of experience in a similar role
- An interest in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or supplier management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to gather, organise, and interpret data to support decision-making
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Highly Regarded
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or supplier coordination
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, including purchasing, sourcing, and procurement processes
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of supplier performance management and purchasing processes
- Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environment
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles

Additional Information
- This position is based in our Burnie office 5 days per week working full-time hours
- This is a site-based role requiring attendance in the office five days per week
