Role:

Responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials required to support production, customer demand, and inventory objectives. This role analyzes material requirements, monitors inventory levels, manages supply risks, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain an efficient and uninterrupted supply chain to production lines.

What the candidate will do:

  • Analyze material requirements based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and customer orders.
  • Execute and maintain Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Suppliers to resolve material supply issues.
  • Review and manage replenishment parameters, safety stock levels, lead times, and planning settings.
  • Expedite critical materials to prevent production interruptions and customer delivery delays.
  • Escalate critical shortages and coordinate recovery plans
  • Track supplier performance and follow up on open purchase orders.
  • Validate supplier capacity against forecasted demand
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives to reduce carrying costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans for material shortages and constraints.
  • Ensure accuracy of material master data and planning parameters within ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Generate and analyze reports related to inventory, shortages, demand changes, and supply performance as well as maintain optimal inventory levels to meet business targets.

Degree Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, International Relations, or related.
  • Intermediate Conversational English Level

Manufacturing Requirements

• Describes basic concepts of materials and capacity management processes and procedures.
• Describes product life cycle and associated MRP cycle.
• Identifies parameters and considerations used in making decisions about production runs.
• Describes the use of bills of materials and other documentation needed to provide supplies.

Materials Handling and Management:


• Identifies key issues involved with different types of manufacturing materials.
• Discusses consideratxxions for physical management of major types of materials.
• Identifies types of materials used in manufacturing flagship products or components.
• Describes packaging regulations and locates those specific to the requirements of the situation.

Problem Solving:

• Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.
• Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.
• Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.
• Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
• Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.

The best candidates will also have:

  • Advanced Conversational and written English
  • 2 years managing the planning of operational or indirect materials
  • Kaizen and/or Lean methodologies
  • Data Analysis (Excel / Macros & Querys, Power BI)
  • SAP (MM, PP, APO, IBP, or S/4HANA)

Additional information:

Location: Santa Catarina.

This position works Monday through Friday
