Role Definition

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) – Integrated Drivetrain is seeking a results-driven Production Manager to lead multiple component manufacturing value streams at the East Peoria Building KK facility on 2nd shift. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a manufacturing leader who is energized by developing people, improving operational execution, and driving measurable results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement. The Production Manager will provide direction to production teams, strengthen cross-shift alignment, build leadership capability, and lead continuous improvement efforts that improve operational stability, execution, and overall value stream performance.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and oversee several machining value streams on 2nd shift at the East Peoria Building KK facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution

  • Provide visible leadership through coaching, accountability, performance management, and development of production teams

  • Drive execution of production goals aligned to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement objectives

  • Partner with day shift leadership and support teams to ensure strong shift-to-shift communication, handoffs, and operational continuity

  • Use performance metrics to identify gaps, remove barriers, and implement actions that improve productivity, quality, flow, and efficiency

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen standard work, reduce downtime, and improve operational stability

  • Promote a safety-first culture by ensuring adherence to safety standards, policies, procedures, and proactive issue resolution

  • Communicate priorities, performance results, risks, and recovery plans clearly to leadership, support teams, and team members

  • Build a collaborative, accountable, and engaged team environment that supports sustained improvement in overall site performance

Degree Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.

What Skills You Will Have

  • Problem Solving: Ability to recognize, anticipate, and resolve operational or process issues using structured problem-solving methods

  • Performance Management: Ability to coach, develop, and hold individuals and teams accountable for performance expectations and improvement plans

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations, evaluate options, and make timely decisions based on facts, metrics, and informed judgment

  • Effective Communications: Ability to clearly communicate priorities, expectations, risks, and results across teams, shifts, and leadership levels

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Strong machining experience/background/knowledge

  • Microsoft Office 365 experience

  • Previous experience leading production teams in a complex manufacturing environment

  • Leadership and/or participation in facility safety initiatives

  • Continuous improvement or process improvement experience

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and support groups

Additional Information

  • This position will close at 11:59 p.m. on 07/10/2026.

  • This position will be located onsite 5 days a week in East Peoria, IL (Building K) working 2nd shift (2:30PM to 10:30PM).

  • This position requires flexibility to work overtime, including daily and weekend hours, as needed to support production schedules, customer commitments, and business requirements.

  • Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

  • Sponsorship is NOT available.

  • This position may require less than 10% travel

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
