We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join our team as a MineStar™ Site Manager. This Brisbane-based role operates on a FIFO roster, working closely with key customers across multiple remote mine sites.

The position follows a schedule aligned with our customer’s operations to ensure strong support for both the site and the team.

About the Role

As the MineStar™ Site Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Command for Hauling (Autonomous Haulage System – AHS) operates at optimal performance. You will lead a team of MineStar™ Application and Onboard Specialists, working closely with Product Support teams to deliver robust and effective technology solutions.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, managing escalations and ensuring the successful and safe operation of Caterpillar technology products on site.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong mining operations or fleet management experience, combined with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site contact for all MineStar™ productivity and safety initiatives
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Autonomous Haulage System (AHS)
• Collaborate with Product Support teams to implement interim corrective actions for system performance issues
• Build, lead, and develop a team of site-based technical specialists
• Manage employee performance, training, compliance, and career development
• Monitor and drive key performance metrics, including:
  • AHS availability
  • Production outcomes
  • Cost per tonne
  • Fleet productivity
  • Safety performance
• Ensure compliance with Caterpillar and MineStar™ policies and procedures
• Support and coordinate continuous improvement and technology projects onsite
• Coach and mentor both internal staff and customer personnel on system operation and best practices

About You

You are a hands-on leader with a passion for technology and operational excellence. You thrive in dynamic environments and are confident leading complex teams in remote mining operations.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong operational experience in mining, fleet management, or similar environments
• Proven leadership and team management capability
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
• Valid manual driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in mining, automation, construction, or machine technology
• Exposure to fleet management systems or control room operations
• Project management experience
• Degree in Engineering, Mining, Data Analytics, or related discipline
• Familiarity with MineStar™ or similar mining technology platforms
• Experience working rostered (FIFO/DIDO/shift-based) environments
