In the Caterpillar Underground Hard Rock Vehicle team you have the opportunity to design, market and support some of the most innovative products available. We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can’t wait for you to join the team!

  • Partner with assembly facilities, systems and components teams, suppliers, dealers, and customers to resolve complex business, product, and operational challenges.
  • Lead and develop a global team, including test and validation organizations, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Establish priorities, policies, and strategic initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, product quality, manufacturing efficiency, cost competitiveness, and overall business performance.

What You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 20+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, or Value Chain leadership.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in product development, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or value stream management.
  • Experience leading global, cross-functional teams and working across complex matrix organizations.
  • Demonstrated success managing product strategy, product lifecycle management, and product development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain, quality systems, LEAN/CPI methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience working directly with customers, dealers, suppliers, and product support organizations.
  • Strong business acumen, including exposure to product costs, warranty, budgeting, revenue, and profit-and-loss considerations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Top Candidates Will Also Have
