The Digital Adoption & Customer Success (DACS) organization accelerates the adoption and usage of digital products, delivering measurable value to Cat Dealers and Customers, and driving a customer-centric approach through enhanced change management and impact measurement.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Product Applications Manager, the Lead Digital Consultant provides guidance and support on advanced features, customizing, implementing and integrating the digital product.

What You Will Do: ​

  • Provides support on major and/or critical implementation or operational issues.
  • Contributes to policies and practices for product design, training, documentation, and problem resolution.
  • Coordinates with product management on solutions to design, reliability, performance, and maintenance issues.
  • Designs and implements methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for monitoring software reliability and resolving product problems.

Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.

  • Monitors planned improvement efforts in quality and productivity.
  • Evaluates improvement efforts in quality and productivity.
  • Uses measurements to drive improvement in a number of different ways

Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Coaches others on key factors that differentiate offerings from that of competition.
  • Develops procedures for product planning, development, and delivery cycles.
  • Promotes understanding of multiple product and service groups and their interdependencies.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

  • Participates in negotiating the terms of the business relationship.
  • Maintains productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors.
  • Empowers others to establish collaborative, healthy relationships.

Pricing Models and Analytics: Knowledge of pricing tools, techniques and methods; ability to assess analytical and pricing models through the use of statistical principles.

  • Provides aggregate reports that identify potential risks and potential business performance problems.
  • Evaluates performance risks by analyzing actual versus performance benchmarks.

Software Product Training: Knowledge of software product training; ability to create and deliver training on the implementation, operation and utilization of technology products and systems.

  • Describes resources and approaches for training on advanced product features and functions.
  • Demonstrates experience with delivering product training to multiple clients and functional groups.

Software Release Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for managing versions and distribution of software products and enhancements; ability to evaluate and improve release management practices and tools.

  • Oversees all aspects of release management for the entire installed customer base.
  • Develops and disseminates communications about new release training.

Change Control: Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; Ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively

  • Identifies, evaluates, approves, monitors and documents proposed changes to the production environment.
  • Identifies errors that occur during change execution, and takes action in correcting these errors.
  • Conducts impact analyses to determine the effect change might have on the status of existing systems.

Additional Information:

  • Travel for this role is estimated at 30% to cover assigned dealers.
  • This position requires working onsite five days a week.
