Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

The Logistics Systems Integration Lead implements projects across a team of global transportation professionals, internal and external technology providers, and process partners delivering effective end to end solutions to maximize the efficiency of the International Transportation Parts & Components network.

What You Will Do:

  • Establish transportation best practices and solutions for multi-modal, multi-leg end to end solutions.
  • Apply process improvement tools and assist with the implementation of efficient and competitive solutions.
  • Coordinate with transportation and operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
  • Evaluate logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.
  • Become a trusted solution subject matter expertise across BY TMS, e2open GLO, Data, Reporting, Nexus as part of the international transportation global solution.


What You Have (Basic Requirements):

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience with transportation of materials and goods to/from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and customers.
  • Progressively responsible experience in transportation, supply chain, or logistics.
  • Experience leading the design, prototype, and configuration of processes and solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to build consensus across multiple functional areas.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder TMS.
  • Experience with e2open GLO.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, EDI/API, and Power BI.
  • Six Sigma or Lean experience.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
