Job Summary:
- Lead the assigned production operations at the Ciudad Acuña Plant, with a primary focus on welding and metal fabrication processes, guiding teams to achieve safety, quality, production, and cost objectives.
- Ensure execution of production plans measured in units and base hours; manage personnel, machinery, equipment, processes, and consumables; drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and structured problem solving; and coordinate activities with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Process Engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations in assigned production areas, primarily welding and metal fabrication, ensuring production plans are achieved in units and base hours.
- Lead the Operations team by setting objectives, assigning accountability, providing coaching and feedback, and monitoring performance.
- Achieve safety objectives and foster a proactive safety culture focused on zero injuries.
- Deliver quality results by monitoring applicable performance indicators, including PPM and customer-related metrics, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage personnel, machinery, equipment, capacity, processes, and consumables to maintain production continuity and ensure the effective use of resources.
- Control variable operating costs, primarily labor, overtime, and consumables, and implement recovery actions when deviations occur.
- Coordinate with Operations managers, Manufacturing Engineering, and Process Engineering to implement engineering changes and projects that affect safety, quality, cost, or production.
- Drive Lean initiatives, cost-reduction projects, and structured problem solving to improve overall operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe and sound manufacturing environment.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relates to the field
- Advanced English
- Expert in variety of Staff and Supervisory Positions

- Closely monitors plan execution to ensure the intended results are achieved.

- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or certifications related to continuous improvement, quality, or structured problem solving.
- Microsoft Office and tools used for analysis, operational monitoring, and communication of results.
- Industrial welding processes; metal fabrication; quality management; PPM indicators; production planning in units and base hours; variable manufacturing costs; Lean Manufacturing; engineering changes; and process optimization.
- Leadership of large-scale operations teams; leadership of front-line or mid-level leaders; interaction with customers and teams in the United States; implementation of cost-reduction projects; and cross-functional coordination with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Process Engineering.

- This position is five-day a week in-office model.
