At Caterpillar, trade compliance is more than meeting regulatory requirements—it is about enabling the business to move with confidence in a complex global environment. As part of the Trade Center of Excellence (TCOE) within Law, Security & Public Policy, the Regional Trade Compliance Manager will help turn trade requirements into practical solutions for the India region.
Working alongside world class compliance, legal, and business leaders, the successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner—strengthening controls, supporting strategic decisions, and embedding compliance into day-to-day operations.

What You Will Do
Risk assessment and mitigation: Support customs and trade compliance risk assessments, identify potential gaps, and help implement appropriate mitigation actions.
Compliance program support: Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, controls, and processes.
Business partnership: Work closely with business divisions, legal, and compliance teams to provide practical trade compliance guidance across the India region.
Training and capability building: Deliver training on applicable trade, customs, and regulatory requirements relevant to Caterpillar’s products, services, and technologies.
Stakeholder communication: Communicate risks, recommendations, progress, and outcomes clearly and effectively to relevant stakeholders.
What You Have
Trade and customs compliance: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs processes, import/export controls, and compliance program requirements.
Analytical judgment: Ability to evaluate complex issues, identify root causes, assess risk, and recommend practical solutions.
Problem solving: Ability to resolve operational or compliance challenges and improve processes, controls, and ways of working.
Stakeholder management: Ability to build trusted relationships across business, legal, compliance, and external stakeholders.
Communication and training: Ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly, deliver effective training, and communicate recommendations across levels and functions.
Top Candidate Will Also Have
Demonstrated expertise in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or a related field.
Experience supporting, developing, or managing compliance processes, controls, or procedures.
Strong business judgment, intellectual curiosity, and ability to support leadership priorities.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
