Job Summary
The Electric Power Service Readiness Consultant develops and drives workforce readiness strategies that ensure technicians, product support teams, and dealer personnel are prepared to support current products, new product introductions, and emerging Electric Power applications.
Working across Electric Power Division, Large Power Systems Division, Global Dealer Learning, district teams, and Caterpillar's dealer network, this role identifies capability gaps, develops readiness plans, and aligns workforce development initiatives with business growth objectives. The successful candidate will influence cross-functional partners to improve technician proficiency, support readiness, and customer outcomes across the global Electric Power business.
What You Will Do
Develop and maintain workforce readiness strategies that support Electric Power products, services, and new product introductions.
Assess technical capability, workforce capacity, and readiness gaps across the dealer network and recommend actions to address business needs.
Partner with learning, product support, and dealer development teams to establish competency standards, learning pathways, and certification programs.
Translate business growth plans, customer requirements, and product support needs into workforce development priorities and readiness plans.
Coordinate readiness activities for new product introductions and strategic customer deployments to ensure support capabilities are in place before launch or commissioning.
Establish and monitor readiness metrics, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance technician effectiveness and customer support outcomes.
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce readiness efforts with business objectives and customer expectations.
Degree Requirement
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

What Will Put You Ahead
Experience supporting Electric Power products, power generation systems, industrial equipment, or related technical solutions.
Experience working with dealer, distributor, customer support, field service, or training organizations.
Knowledge of workforce development, technical training, certification programs, or capability assessment processes.
Experience supporting new product introductions, service readiness, or organizational readiness initiatives.
Familiarity with critical power, gas engine, prime power, microgrid, or data center applications.
Experience leveraging digital learning tools and scalable training solutions.
Strong business acumen with the ability to align workforce capability initiatives to customer and business needs.
Additional Information
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
Travel up to 25% is possible.
Relocation is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
