As a Configurator Systems Integration Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in transforming engineering concepts into integrated, reliable products and technologies that help power the industries that build our world. This position serves as a cross-product integration role supporting convergence, commonality, strategy, and technical alignment across multiple Load & Haul product lines. You will collaborate with engineering teams across Large Wheel Loaders, Wheel Dozers, Compactors, Wheel Tractor Scrapers, Articulated Trucks, and other Load & Haul platforms to drive system integration, platform consistency, and enterprise-wide engineering solutions. What You'll Do
Lead the development and integration of system architectures, technical requirements, interfaces, and performance targets for new products, components, and technologies across the Load & Haul platforms.
Define system-level requirements, validation strategies, and success criteria that ensure solutions meet customer, business, and product objectives.
Analyze system performance, identify integration risks, and resolve complex technical issues using structured problem-solving and systems engineering principles.
Evaluate emerging technologies, materials, and components while driving innovation and continuous product improvement initiatives.
Develop and support prototypes, proof-of-concept solutions, engineering validation activities, and development testing programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers across all the product lines related to the Load & Haul platform to optimize designs, assess technical capabilities, and deliver high-performing integrated solutions.
Support product quality and reliability through testing, root cause analysis, technical documentation, project execution monitoring, and corrective action implementation.

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited Engineering or related technical curriculum.

Top Candidates Will Also Have
Experience integrating mechanical, electrical, electronic, embedded, software, or connected-product systems within complex engineering environments.
Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles including requirements management, interface definition, configuration management, verification, and validation.
Experience translating customer, business, and product needs into technical requirements, specifications, architecture models, and test plans.
Demonstrated expertise in FMEA, reliability engineering, root cause analysis, failure investigations, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), and cross-functional development efforts involving suppliers and engineering teams.
Familiarity with heavy equipment, engines, industrial machinery, robotics, autonomy, telematics, advanced manufacturing technologies, and managing multiple technical priorities within a matrixed organization.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
