Job Summary

Assists with technical analysis of Quality and measurement processes in all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.

  • Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.

  • Providing coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas.

  • Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.

  • Seek out improved assets to ensure measurement equipment and processes are capable of improved measurement analysis.

Degree Requirement

This position is an early talent position. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university within the last TWO years or a future graduation by Dec. 2026

What you will have

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Strong understanding of statistical Analysis and software to support interpreting data such as Minitab

  • Ability to automate data analysis and interpretation using Excel VBA, Power BI or other means to extrapolate and present information in real time

  • Interpret data to make informed decisions about health of gages, CMMs and manufacturing operating processes

  • Extrapolate data to understand uncertainty budget in a system and repeat and reproducibility of that system.

Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Understand program coding for various coordinate measuring machines and recognize errors and efficiency gains with previously written programs.

  • Understanding of print drawing feature controls and geometric tolerances

  • Capable of interpreting 1E Specifications and other standards related to drawings

  • Work with Operations, Design and Gage suppliers for new measurement strategies.

  • Identifies major initiatives, key issues and benefits of engineering in manufacturing.

  • Identifies major gage and CMM measurement analysis opportunities and run DMAIC projects for improvement.

Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Implementing lean principles to run multi-project improvements.

  • Project management in multi-stage capacity

  • Benchmark best in class strategy using lean implementation to drive project improvements

  • Identifies key lean principles and highlights of the lean manufacturing process.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Pull cross functional teams together with Subject Matter Experts to solve complex DMAIC projects

Summary Pay Range:

$81,370.00 - $122,060.00
