The Global Demand Management team in the Excavation Division has an exciting opportunity for you to grow your career as Orders & Demand Consultant for the India / Indonesia / Asia region.

Job Summary

As the Orders & Demand Consultant, you will work with key contacts in Sales & Marketing (Customer Solutions), Business Economics, Global Sales and Operations Planning and Demand Management, Production facilities, Supply Chain, Product Group NPI and Regional Management to guide the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for Excavation Product Groups to balance demand vs. supply and deliver products profitably to the marketplace, maximizing inventory turns and plant efficiency, as well as stabilizing customer delivery performance.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in the Machine Business Review, where input from dealers, economists and marketing occurs. Review and analyze the data, and highlight outliners to ensure demand signal accuracy, which will be used for next steps.

  • Organize and lead the supply meeting. Provide guidance to facilitate for supply planning strategy aligning to model level targets to ensure reasonable inventory level for the regions to support business growth strategy.

  • Prepare documentation for the pre-S&OP meeting, highlighting any demand or supply challenge, needed changes and financial impacts and action plans.

  • Perform highly complex what-if scenarios that are presented to the Product VP’s leadership team and other process partners. Provide recommendation based on scenarios to supply chain on discretionary product group decision on supply chain operation planning.

  • Play a key role in sizing and managing the Lane Strategy and PDC Inventory Planning. Will lead portions of product availability initiatives and work cross-functionally with other product groups.

  • Plays a critical role in managing NPI phase in phase out supply and order planning to ensure smooth transition.

  • This role will be key subject matter expert on sourcing and need to work with NPI Managers and VPs or Business Development Managers to support sourcing decisions.

  • Ensure Product Groups maximize percent of industry sales (PINS), improve availability and maximize profitability.

  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor projects to achieve objectives efficiently.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, supply chain, marketing, manufacturing, or industrial engineering

  • Strong knowledge of production scheduling principles, S&OP, demand management, constraint management, and supply chain planning.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify insights, and influence key business decisions.

  • Experience in product groups, functional disciplines, or manufacturing operations.

  • Exposure to scheduling (Production Scheduling, Master Scheduling) Machine / Components Orders Management, Industrial Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing/ Sales Operations, Marketing Demand/Velocity Manager

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint / Excel / PowerBI.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and respond effectively to change.

Additional Information

  • Approximately 10% business travel required.

  • Key liaison role between Product VPs and cross-functional parters, providing critical data and insights.

  • Understand corporate timelines, reporting requirements and decisions required at each stage of the S&OP Process, especially impacts from changes to the Business Plan and the financial impacts to supply chain and operations.

  • This position requires working onsite five days a week.
