As the Lead Solutions Architect: Analytics & AI within Global Parts Pricing (GPP), you will own the definition, technical direction, and execution oversight of the Global Parts Pricing technology roadmap. You will serve as a key technical leader partnering with business stakeholders, Caterpillar IT, and analytics teams to build scalable data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that support pricing strategy and business objectives.
This role serves as the bridge between business priorities and technical execution, ensuring technology investments are aligned with enterprise architecture standards while delivering measurable business value. The successful candidate will combine architecture expertise, technical depth, and strong communication skills to guide strategic decisions across analytics platforms, integrations, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled solutions.
What You Will Do
- Own the technical roadmap for Global Parts Pricing and provide architecture leadership across analytics, data, integration, automation, and AI initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders, Caterpillar IT, and analytics teams to align technology strategy with business goals.
- Design and oversee scalable architecture solutions spanning enterprise applications, integrations, analytics platforms, and cloud technologies.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and methodologies supporting future-state architecture.
- Lead solution architecture reviews including application architecture, data architecture, integration design, and platform architecture.
- Drive the adoption of machine learning, automation, and Generative AI capabilities across the pricing ecosystem.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop Proofs of Concept and architecture recommendations supporting business transformation initiatives.
- Provide technical mentorship and architecture guidance for junior architects and project teams.
- Ensure architecture decisions align with enterprise security, governance, and compliance standards.
What You Have
Enterprise Architecture
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data, analytics, application, and platform architectures.
- Ability to translate business requirements into future-state technical architecture and solution strategies.
Data, Analytics & AI
- Working knowledge of analytics platforms, machine learning concepts, Generative AI, and modern data architectures.
- Understanding of data architecture, integrations, ETL processes, and cloud-based analytics ecosystems.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on experience with:
- Python
- SQL
- Snowflake
- AWS
- Experience working with cloud-native architecture, integrations, APIs, and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Communication & Influence
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence architecture decisions, facilitate cross-functional alignment, and drive technical strategy.

- AWS DevOps Engineer

- Hands-on experience with:
- AWS Bedrock
- Snowflake Cortex
- Dataiku
- Power BI

- Experience designing AI-enabled architectures and integrating machine learning or Generative AI solutions into enterprise platforms.
- Experience leading architecture efforts across complex, multi-team initiatives.
- Understanding of pricing, procurement, manufacturing, or analytics domains.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $208,770.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
