Job summary:

Responsible for driving customs compliance, governance, risk management, and continuous improvement across import operations. This role ensures adherence to customs regulations and internal policies through process oversight, audits, performance monitoring, and implementation of effective controls, while supporting operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and business objectives.

What you will do:

• Act as the focal point for customs compliance and governance within the import operation, ensuring adherence to customs regulations, internal policies, and corporate requirements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on customs compliance, import regulations, and governance matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on import operations, supporting the implementation of necessary process adjustments and compliance requirements.
• Analyze customs declarations, clearance activities, lead times, costs, and compliance indicators to identify root causes, recurring issues, operational risks, and optimization opportunities, recommending corrective and preventive actions to minimize business, financial, and compliance exposure.
• Develop and monitor operational and compliance KPIs, analyze performance trends, and prepare reports and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Monitor the performance and execution quality of customs brokers, logistics providers, and other service partners, ensuring compliance with established standards and requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and govern Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process controls, and governance frameworks to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
• Develop and deliver training programs, promote compliance awareness, and maintain process documentation and knowledge repositories to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you will have:

Standard Operating Procedures & Continuous Improvement: Ability to design, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations. Focused on increasing operational efficiency, standardization, compliance, and process effectiveness while supporting business objectives.

Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to identify root causes, evaluate complex situations, anticipate risks, develop alternative solutions, and resolve organizational, operational, and process-related challenges, including high-risk scenarios.

Decision Making & Risk Management: Ability to evaluate risks, analyze available information, assess potential outcomes, and make timely, well-founded decisions in dynamic and complex environments. Capable of balancing operational, compliance, financial, and business requirements while minimizing risks and ensuring business continuity.

Priority Management & Sense of Urgency: Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands simultaneously, demonstrating proactivity, agility, and strong results orientation. Capable of making sound decisions, adapting quickly to changing business needs, and delivering high-quality outcomes within established timelines while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

Data Analysis, Reporting & Performance Management: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering, analyzing, and reporting data. Ability to transform information into meaningful insights, monitor performance indicators, identify trends, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Management, Communication & Negotiation: Strong sense of ownership and accountability for processes, results, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels, build collaborative relationships, manage expectations, influence decisions, and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes while supporting business objectives and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Pre-Advanced English.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience developing data-driven executive presentations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Top Candidates will have:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including data analysis, dashboard development, and executive-level presentations.
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights and support performance management initiatives.
• Previous experience in customs compliance, import/export operations, trade compliance, customs brokerage management, or international logistics.
• Experience with customs audits, compliance programs, governance frameworks, risk assessment, and regulatory interpretation
• Advanced English
