Job Description:

• Oversees the administration and continual improvement of quality management systems.
• Primary responsibility is to provide support for quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier quality, and materials technology. Position will ensure conformity to global quality processes defined in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (QMS), day to day management of quality resources, and ensure resources are trained and competent

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting development of quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines and control plans which assure quality and reliability of manufactured products.
• Leading the development and implementation of corrective action and preventive measures to achieve quality targets.
• Investigating and addressing trends with internal and external non-conformance.
• Leading, managing and developing multiple teams, team leaders, quality specialists and inspectors to assure that quality standards are met.
• Driving change based on data; reviewing reports to review with quality assurance, production, management, and engineering personnel to solve quality issues.
• Conducts product evaluation tests on all new product. Determines and orders the product configuration to be tested, designs and directs the test program, coordinates the test and tear-down of each model, and identifies problems. Recommends solutions to Product Group Engineering, Customer Service, Operations and Logistics Support to insure annual product quality improvement and warranty cost reduction.
• The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing the execution of processes, plans and tools that support global quality systems or related processes i.e. Cost of Poor Quality, APQP, PPAP, quality certifications, MQ11005 and MQ12005 etc. The incumbent must also ensure alignment to CPS (Caterpillar Production System) principles

Quality Management System (QMS): Knowledge of Quality Management System's (QMS) functions, features, and capabilities; ability to design, implement, test, and maintain Quality Management Systems to consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory compliances.

• Adheres to the process, requirements, and documentation associated with QMS.

• Contributes to the development of business case analysis for a new QMS functionality in the system.

• Explains and analyzes quality indicators and metrics relevant to one's business unit or function.

• Monitors key interfaces and criticalities related to QMS.

• Reviews various QMS products and service providers available in the market and lists their applications.

Required Qualifications:

o BS Degree in Engineering

o Advanced English level, written and oral communication.

o 8+ years of relevant in appropriate equivalent experience quality areas and projects.

o Experience in quality management practices.
