Role Definition: Supports product regulatory compliance programs for EXD products through various activities that assist in managing compliance risk and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for intended markets. Works closely with Engineering, PC&S, Legal, other product groups, and external authorities to support market access throughout NPI, NMI, and NTI processes. CXL-produced Wheel HEX and Track HEX products, as well as HEDC China design-controlled products and components, are within the scope of this role.

What You Wil Do:

• Understand and stay current on product regulatory requirements, and related technology requirements, and understand application of same to Caterpillar products
• .Follow and utilize established processes and tools to collect, assess, and manage information in support of product certification and compliance.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for processes and tools used to manage product regulatory compliance risks.
• Collaborate with product groups, design control and operations to ensure the development, validation and production of product that meets applicable product regulatory requirements.

• Product Development Best Practices: Knowledge of product development methods and ability to research, identify and apply formal disciplines and best practices for improving the quality and costs related to product development.
• Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
• Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Knowledge of various product engineering techniques; ability to master professional methods to design, build and process hardware products or components.
