Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst Applications (Snowflake Developer) to join RI Order Fulfilment & Procurement–CAT IT Division. To support the SDP (Sales Data Platform), EPDP, and SCDP applications. This role will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining Snowflake-based data solutions while ensuring high availability, performance, and data quality across critical procurement and supplier data platforms.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN
This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.
Shift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration solutions.
- Support ongoing development and production support activities for SDP, EPDP, and SCDP applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes using Snowflake and cloud-based technologies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolve production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Optimize database performance, storage, and query efficiency.
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are maintained.
- Support system upgrades, data migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Participate in Agile development processes, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with onsite and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions and support business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or database development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data integration frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of data warehousing, performance tuning, and data governance best practices.
- Experience supporting production systems and resolving complex data-related issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of procurement, supplier management, or enterprise data platforms.
- Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Experience working in global support and development environments
