Role Definition
Responsible for coordinating capital investment (CAPEX) projects, ensuring proper planning, execution, and control of allocated resources. Additionally, provides support in purchasing processes to guarantee timely procurement of materials and equipment, contributing to efficiency and quality in manufacturing operations related to NPI processes.


Main Responsibilities
• Plan and coordinate capital investment projects, ensuring compliance with schedules and budgets.

• Prepare and follow up on investment requests, evaluating technical and financial feasibility

• Monitor project progress and generate status reports.

• Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure acquisition of materials and equipment required for CAPEX projects.

• Verify technical specifications and delivery times with suppliers.

• Track purchase orders and resolve supply deviations.

• Participate in CPPD and design reviews to influence product design for manufacturability.
• Conduct feasibility studies for components and assemblies across welding, painting, and assembly processes.
• Create and validate process flow documentation (PFMEA, SFMEA, DF, CP, IPV, ETC).
• Develop standard work instructions (SWS/SWES) and visual aids for operators

• Define tooling and equipment requirements for new product lines.

• Guarantee adherence to APQP and PPAP requirements.

• Work with supply chain, logistics, and packaging teams to ensure smooth transition.

• Close NPI issues with clear risk assessments before production commitment.

Degree Requirement

  • Bachelor's or Engineering degree related to field.
  • Intermediate - Advance English level is desirable.

Skills the candidate must have

Manufacturing Processes
  • Knowledge of welding, painting, and assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production launch.
  • Capability to conduct manufacturability and process feasibility assessments.
  • Ability to define tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment requirements.
  • Knowledge of product launch documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, IPV, and Standard Work.
  • Ability to validate manufacturing processes and readiness prior to production release.

Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to identify waste, improve process efficiency, and optimize manufacturing workflows.
  • Familiarity with Lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
  • Capability to support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
  • Ability to assess manufacturing risks and develop mitigation plans during product launches.

Problem Solving
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, or A3.
  • Ability to evaluate technical and operational risks before production commitment.
  • Capability to drive issue resolution during product development and launch phases.
  • Ability to coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
  • Skill in identifying supplier, equipment, and process deviations and implementing recovery plans.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking
  • Ability to coordinate capital investment (CAPEX) projects, including planning, execution, and budget monitoring.
  • Capability to evaluate technical and financial feasibility of investment proposals.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reporting.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes related to manufacturing equipment and production materials.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on risk analysis during APQP and PPAP activities.
  • Capability to collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Packaging, and Purchasing teams to ensure successful product launches.

Additional Information:

  • This job is located in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.

  • The work schedule is set for Monday to Friday (6:30am-5pm)

  • This position requires travelling up to 10% (domestic and international).

  • Relocation is not available for this position.
