Responsibilities:
Accountable for driving the product roadmap for Telemetry and IOT capabilities for multi-year, multi-million-dollar digital platform
Responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Engineering teams
Create, maintain, and prioritize the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the product
Communicate Product Backlog priorities to development teams
Act as a Key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have
Define the acceptance criteria of Epics and features for the product area
Collaborate with Product owners, Architects, Business Analysts and other Product Managers to deliver the required features on time
Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization and ensure alignment with other programs
Participate/drive decision making on release dates and content
Represent the customers & stakeholders, interfacing and engaging with them as needed
Inspect the product progress and accept or reject the delivery of Epics and Features
Communicate the releases of features to stakeholders and customers
Be a champion for the agile community and help to further the community within the organization
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information systems or a related field
At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager and 2+ years experience as a Technical Product Manager.
Over 10 years of overall experience working with technical teams
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to ensure a team's success
Strong accountability, planning, organization, and teamwork skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Team Services, Rally, and Aha.
Product Manager/Owner certification is preferred
Experience working with onshore/offshore team models
Experience working with UX designers and tools such as Figma is preferred
Top candidates will also possess these Qualifications:
Strong Domain expertise in IOT/Telemetry and industrial Equipment.
Experience with cloud technologies and working with large data
Highly developed interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, emotional, or potentially controversial situations
Experience in handling key capabilities of a platform as a Technical Product Manager
